F is for ...

Me and Sweet Hubby - I am so blessed!
Family.

I know I've already done an F entry for the week (you can find my original F entry HERE!) but being that it's VALENTINE'S DAY, I just had to give an online hug to my favoritest people in the whole, wide world!
Iron Man - Goofy Nephew and my amazing mom.

I just LOVE spending time with my kids, my brother and his family, and all of the extensions.

My mom has the greatest sense of humor and it has spread to my brother, his son, and my son. As a result, we can't usually make it through a meal without laughing ourselves silly.

(Yeah, I think the restaurant was really happy to see us leave!)

Speaking of laughing, I love to make my sweet hubby crack up. He's the quiet type, but he tosses in zingers every once in a while and when he gets tickled, his giggle is delightful.

"Granny" is Awesome Sis-in-law's Mom.  Goofy Nephew didn't
realize he was in this shot. Too funny!

Me with my mom and my brother. Yes, I'm a good little Texas
girl and I call my brother, "Bubba"!

All of our holiday and birthday celebrations include my mom and brother, his family and my sister-in-law's mom. We go together well.

One of the reasons we get to enjoy so many Christmas celebrations is because of the wonderful lady who became my dad's third wife.

Though Daddy is gone, she makes sure we get to have family time at every opportunity. My sister and her kids complete our celebration. Don't kids just MAKE a party?

And speaking of kids, my house if filled with laughter and singing. Few harsh words and fewer raised voices. I love the sweet smiles of my girls and how they chatter and laugh together.

And I never even got to my excellent in-laws!

I'm blessed and I know it full well.

Tell me about your family!

Family Traditions

Today is a Jollydaze post about traditions. Join our holiday meme at the link.

My family has a tradition of goofiness. My mom, son, and brother can tell some of the funniest stories and the rest of us toss in one-liners like professional stand-ups.

So this cartoon fit right in with my post for today.

Top Ten: To Be or Not To Be ...

beggar... Grateful.

I heard a story about an experiment that was conducted in New York. A guy dressed in ragged clothes carried a cup and a sign that said I'm Blind. He stood at a busy area on a sidewalk and collected $4 during his day-long posing. The next day, he repeated the procedure, only his sign

Thanksgiving Traditions with a New Blog Hop

The A2Z Meme (Blog Hop) that I've been participating in for the last couple of months has officially ended. Yep, we got to Z last Tuesday! I wish I could say I did every letter, but I didn't happen on the Hop until around  F, I think. Still, it was fun to have a set posting each week and a challenge to work out one that worked with the letter and was appropriate to my week and journey.

So for the holidays, we are continuing, just with a different theme. This is now a

Peas in a Pod

Or sometimes, double trouble! My dinky twinkies bring light, music and laughter to our household.

When I learned I was pregnant again, my hubby started noticing all the twins that filled news stories, some gymnasts, a couple of football players, some local models. He mentioned how funny it would be if we were having twins. I calmly replied, "I'll scratch your eyes out." And God laughed. A couple of months later, when we learned about these two we could only say, "Wow," like a pair of high schoolers for days.

What a memorable day it was, exactly 12 years ago,

Weekend-spiration: Dearest Daddies

This is Father's Day weekend and I think it's funny that in most of the families I'm in contact with, Mother's Day is celebrated by giving the mom the day off. She gets taken out to dinner with gifts and cards, then gets to put her feet up and claim holiday for the whole weekend.
